• People are invited to submit a product idea for development by providing a description of the product and listing the ingredients through the Contact Us Form. People are not initially required to share the specific recipe, just their idea and list of ingredients.
  • The Product Creator & Seller is the person who created the recipe and/or has the right to share the recipe. The Product Creator & Seller or their designated beneficiary (like a charitable cause they want to support) will receive royalty payments based upon the actual sales of the product they submit for production per our Terms of Service.
  • The Bootstrapper’s Blends R&D Team reviews each product idea submitted to ensure it fits within the criteria established for production. Production will be initially limited to craft Syrups, Cocktail and Drink Mixers, Shrubs, Certain Sauces, and Tonics. Initially no products containing nuts or nut derivatives will be made.  As we expand additional food categories will be added.
  • If approved for production, the Product Creator & Seller will be notified via email.  They will then need to email us their detailed recipe and procedure, and send two sample bottles of their product to a Bootstrapper’s Blends designated production facility.
  • Once we receive the recipe and product samples and there are clear indications of a strong commitment to develop and promote the product, Bootstrapper’s Blends, LLC team members will determine product pricing and a break-even sales projection. A specific number of required pre-production sales will be set and that number will be communicated to the product creator to solicit their feedback about whether they think they have enough interest in the product to hit the pre-production sales requirement. The first batch will not be produced until the agreed upon number of pre-production sales commitments are secured from customers within 30 days of the introduction of the product.
  • Even before the first batch is produced, each product will be listed for pre-production sale on the platform.  The product page will feature essential details about the product and photos to show how it will actually look. To personalize their product label and product page each Product Creator & Seller will:
      • name their product
      • provide personalized text copy for their product label
      • send their bio, information about their product, and a digital photo of themselves if they would like it included on their product page
  • Each Product Creator & Seller will be featured as a “Bootstrapper” on the Bootstrapper’s Blends website and social media, so people can learn every product's backstory. Bootstrappers will also be encouraged to upload videos showing recommended ways to use their product.
  • Pricing will be established by Bootstrapper’s Blends, LLC management team members. The product will be marketed as part of our e-commerce system through our online store. People nationwide will be able to order products online through www.bootstrappersblends.com and other online channels.
  • Product Creators & Sellers will encourage their friends and other potential customers to become one of the people to first lift up their product (and them) by committing to a pre-production purchase from the first batch. Credit cards entered for purchases will be used to "authorize only" the amount for the pending purchase. The transaction is pending until the pre-production sales requirement is met and the production of the batch is scheduled.  People who purchase a product from the first batch will be given the option to be permanently listed on the active product page as one of the people who the product was "First Lifted By".  This group is recognized for supporting the initial production of the product.
  • The pre-production sales minimum must be met within 30 days of the initial listing of the product for purchase online or the production is cancelled, the product listing is taken offline, and each customer’s credit card authorization expires. This 30 day period is sometimes referred to as the “Campaign to Lift the Product”or more generally the "Product Campaign."
  • After the pre-production minimum is met through authorize-only credit card sales transactions, the first batch will be scheduled for production, customer's credit cards will be charged for their purchases, and then the batch is made and orders are immediately shipped directly to each customer’s specific delivery location.
  • One sample of every new product from the initial production batch will be shipped directly to the Product Creator & Seller.
  • The Product Creator & Seller can also request a larger quantity of the product they created to be shipped directly to them to share with family and friends, sell at local markets, sell directly to their local customers, or sell at their farm, bar, or restaurant. In that case, the Product Creator & Seller will simply pay the wholesale pricing for the product and shipping costs. Individuals can set product pricing independently for the products they sell directly in their local community.
  • The pre-production sales minimum can be met through any combination of purchases, so Product Creators & Sellers may meet the minimum by purchasing the product themselves at wholesale pricing.
  • Additional batches of the product will be produced as needed to meet further demand.
  • All sales will be “Fresh Batch” pre-production sales, so our products will never sit in storage but there will usually be a period of time between customers’ online purchase transactions and shipment.
  • The recipe submitted by the Product Creator & Seller will be used for production as long as Bootstrapper’s Blends continues to list the product for sale. If a product is discontinued, then the original Product Creator & Seller can re-acquire any intellectual property and the other content associated with their product per the Terms of Service. As explained in the Terms, while Bootstrapper’s Blends is actively producing a product the creator of the product is limited to independently making their own batches for just personal consumption, not commercial distribution. As long as Bootstrapper’s Blends, LLC continues to list the product for sale the creator of the recipe is required to keep the recipe a secret and the creator of the recipe is not permitted to give the recipe to a different manufacturer for production.
  • The primary sales channels will be ecommerce but some products may also be distributed to select markets. Most products will be available exclusively through bootstrappersblends.com.
  • Annually, following the closing of the fiscal year, royalty payments will be made per the the Terms of Service to each Product Creator & Seller (or their beneficiary such as a charity they have identified) who had a product sold during the fiscal year, based upon the sales their product accounted for.
  • If an individual product creator is highly successful and their product sales and reputation grows to a point where they would like to launch their own line of products as part of their own independent company, then they are encouraged to do so per the Terms of Service. A special category will be established as part of the Bootstrapper’s Blends online store featuring the spin-off companies that were lifted by the Bootstrapper’s Blends community. Companies will be featured on bootstrappersblends.com as long as they are positively reviewed by Bootstrapper’s Blends management.
